Kelley Drye has decades of experience representing the interests of companies, industries, and employers in occupational safety and health issues. We have represented them before the Occupational Safety & Health Administration at all stages in the rulemaking process. We have also counseled clients in major manufacturing and production fields on complying with OSHA laws, regulations, and guidance.
As regards occupational safety and health, the best defense is a good offense. We work with clients to develop safety programs, audit their facilities in an effort to identify any potential issues, and keep abreast of the latest news and developments in occupational safety and health law, including actions by OSHA, the Mine Safety and Health Administration, the Chemical Safety Board, and the federal courts.
We frequently engage the Occupational Safety and Health Commission at all stages of the rulemaking process—through Small Business Regulatory Enforcement Fairness Act reviews, comments on proposed rules, and litigation. We develop technologically supportable and legally credible data and arguments in presentations to agencies, and by doing so have helped shape critical OSHA rules. When legal action is unavoidable, we vigorously defend our clients’ interests before state and federal courts.
